It’s cold outside and there is still snow in the mountains, but who doesn’t look forward to the warmer weather of spring? With spring comes the return of green grass and youth sports. I have been involved with youth sports from my childhood and believe in their value to kids. Growing up I played Soccer, Baseball, and at the age of 5, started playing Ice Hockey. I stuck with Hockey and played through my youth and beyond high school. I loved it and it taught me many valuable life lessons. Our sport of choice these days is Lacrosse – one of the fastest growing sports in America.
Sometimes it can be daunting to move to a new area and get the kids into sports – there are so many leagues and options and different sports. Weather you want to try something new or get back in to the same sport in the Boise area, here is a good list of places to look for information. Some of these sports open registration at the beginning of the new year or sooner so jump in and get going today!
