The kids have been out of school for 2 full weeks! It’s been a great break for them and I’ve appreciated the break from the homework, but I’m anxious to get these kids back on a schedule!
It’s been pretty cold here in Boise and we’ve been on the lookout for fun and affordable indoor activities. We got the ValPak envelope of coupons in our mail this week and there was a coupon for DartWarz. Looked fun to me and I thought the kids would like it. We didn’t really know what to expect and I was worried we’d be the only ones there. I was dead wrong! Lots of kids, lots of ammo, and most importantly, lots of FUN!
They have 2 rooms for wars and they divide the kids into 2 groups. They provide everything: guns, ammo, safety goggles and vest. You can upgrade your gun for a fee or use the one they give you for the entrance fee. Our coupon was a buy 1 get 1 free, so we did that and upgraded the guns for under $20. The only complaint – we didn’t play for long enough. We did one hour, but the kids begged for longer! If we didn’t have something scheduled, we would have gone longer. They keep asking when they can go back.
Some tips: check for coupons, wear socks (no shoes allowed), bring your own gun to avoid the upgrade charge (my kids really wanted the megadrone!), don’t bring ammo, bring your own shield if you have one.
This would make a fun date-night! We’ll be back for sure!
